ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
At the Middle School, MAP is open from 2:00-6:00pm. The program here offers a less structured environment than the regular school day. There is a variety of indoor and outdoor fun along with the constant opportunity for homework space and assistance. The program is designed to continue what was learned in previous MAP years to help each child grow further into young adults.
As a team, our staff tries to create enriching opportunities for school age children in a stimulating and nurturing environment. One of our main goals here at the middle school is to help the students become more independent and responsible through promoting self-awareness and the proper treatment of others. We have great spaces available to us for the students to use as both an energy outlet and to foster and encourage social development, while also allowing for independent growth.
The Middle School also supplies the students with the text books that are used inside their classrooms. This allows for homework to be done at MAP with more convenience. A great variety of art supplies, sports equipment, and games are all also available to the students everyday.
If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us via email or phone!

PROJECT LINUS
Project Linus is a non-profit organization in which the Middle School MAP students are taking part in. As a team of volunteers or "blanketeers" we are creating no-sew fleece blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of some warmth, security and comfort. Students taking part in this project will be working hard and donating their time and creativity to help make another child smile.
Check out the website for the organization: http://www.projectlinus.org/about.html
